Veteran broadcaster named GM for WSNC 90.5 FM

  After a lengthy and extensive search, veteran broadcaster Brian Anthony has been named the new general manager for Winston-Salem State University radio station WSNC 90.5 FM, effective Feb. 1, 2018. 

A native of East St. Louis, Illinois, Anthony has more than 35 years of communications/media experience, the majority in the radio industry.

Forsyth Free Tax also offers online taxservices at www.myfreetaxes.com to individuals making less than $66,000 who want to self-prepare their taxes.

RiverRun's Next Retro Films, January 13 & 14

Rob Davis, Executive Director of the RiverRun International Film Festival visits Afternoon Jazz with Jim Steele TODAY at 4:30 p.m. with writer Foster Hirsch, author of 16 film and theatre books. Hirsch will serve as moderator for classic motion pictures featured in RiverRun's next Retro Film Programs coming up January 13 and 14.

Breathing Access 501c3 has been in operation since 2013 bringing yoga, wellness and arts programming to underserved schools in Winston Salem, NC.  We currently serve Petree and Cook Elementary – both schools are in low income household areas.  Our newest program is at Cook Elementary which had the highest illiteracy rate in NC for 6 consecutive years.  We want to help change that!"
