Our SAVE JAZZ campaign is a 365-day effort on our behalf to appeal to Jazz lovers here in the Triad and beyond to really support our efforts to maintain our programming focus on keeping the legendary artform of JAZZ alive on terrestrial radio. Hopefully you’ve listened lately through one of 3 platforms and you agree, 90.5 WSNC-FM has one of the BEST presentations of JAZZ, a unique blend of all categories, in this Country.  90.5 WSNC-FM began its broadcast operations 42 years ago this May and has operated with funding provided by several sources.  We receive contributions from listeners and lovers of Jazz like yourself via tax-deductible contributions from ‘Donors.’  This year as part of our 42th celebration, we will enhance the ‘Donor’ experience with more interaction and input from our Sustaining Members.  Our normal ask…….of course one-time donations…….and as part of a bigger picture we request a minimum monthly commitment of $10.00……or $120.00 for the year.  That’s all.  Consider this, we’ve grown from 10,000 listeners a week in 2017 to approximately 50,000+ listeners per week……a 400% growth in listenership.  If just 5,000 listeners made our asking commitment, that would provide us with $600,000……a little bit more than our current costs to operate our radio station annually.  All of our funding and expenditures are public record, we’re audited annually and make those records available to the public, a requirement for Public Radio.
